onSaveValid not working

Sharkie

We just recently upgraded from TS6.5 SP2 to TS6.7.1 SP1.

We have a couple of DCT forms with custom validation. We want the form to pass validation logic before it can be saved. In 6.5 validation works fine, and user is prevented from saving when validation function (as referenced in onSaveValid event handler) returns false. In 6.7.1, validation works, function returns false, but still, user is able to save the form.

For example, following line is used to add onSaveValid event handler:
IWEventRegistry.addFormHandler("onSaveValid", handleSaveValid);

The handleSaveValid function is supposed to either return true or false, and when returning false it's supposed to prevent the form from being saved. However, in our case the form is always being saved even if the function always returns false:

function handleSaveValid() {
alert('will return false');
return false;
}

The alert displays when either Save of Finish button is clicked, followed by either the save dialog (for new form), or the form is getting saved (for existing form).

Anyone encountered this issue? Is this a possible bug with 6.7.1? And is there a workaround / different way to prevent saving of invalid form?
