You should put this content under cdata block. Try to use FormAPI onSave event, put that item under cdata block.

If so, what is your current locale settings?

try running

$ locale

Also, if this is an "undefined entity" sounds like source XML converted the character to the eacute entity.

Yes, there are several mechanisms in Perl to support Unicode. That includes various encoding/decoding modules.
Your problem however has nothing whatever to do to encoding. It *seems* that you've created mal-formed DCRs somehow
(manually, or perhaps through some generation/data-feed). No amount of encoding will make these DCRs well-formed.
If you do not want to change them you might as well go home.

What makes your DCRs malformed is the usage of HTML encoding of foreign language characters. Any XML Parser
will consider these diacritical symbols as named XML Entities that are not defined in DTD. Try to open up the
following samples with your browser, it may illustrate what I've just said:

This is malformed[php]

[/php]In this sample eacute XML Entity is defined, XML Tags are identical to the previous sample. There are no Parsing problems[php]
