I am researching why some of my workarea permissions aren't working. I'm trying to find what these functions do. I can't find it documented anywhere

client.getBranch(branchPath, true).getWorkareasForUser(user, true)).

Can anyone point to where the source might be stored or help me understand what the functions are doing?
