Setting Custom25

Hi All,

I'm importing a document using the ImportCmd and setting various fields either via its ContextItems or within the onInitDialog event. I'm have problems with setting the boolean field Custom25, heres code snippets:

' ContextItems
Context.Add "IManExt.Import.Custom25", "true"

----------

' Within onInitDialog
'oDlg cast from pMyInterface object

oDlg.SetAttributeValueByID nrCustom25, "true", True

-----------

Neither method sets the field as expected. I've tried passing in a boolean/numeric datatype, but this also fails.

Any Ideas?

It's "Y" or "N".

Actually, for the dialog object, it's 0/1 for unchecked/checked. The Y/N is for setting the document object. Sorry.

You have set the ContextItems to run the ImportCmd in silent mode:

Add "IManExt.NewProfile.ProfileNoUI", true

This means that the dialog wouldn't be displayed. And because the dialog is not displayed, the event function will not have a dialog object passed into it for you to use it. When you step through your code inside the OnInitDialog Event function, do you not see that the pMyInterface object var returns Nothing?

I've also tried this with ProfileNoUI = false (where it does populate pMyInterface correctly) and still get the same result....

Hi jny,

Used the snippet you had and worked ok. My Importcmd was using a DestinationObject set to a Folder rather than a Database. After checking the target folder properties I found that custom25 was set to 'false' on the folder; overriding the value of '1' i was setting within the onInitDialog Smiley Surprised
