Tagging issue after upgrading from 6.5 to 6.7.1

Hi,
We recently upgraded TeamSite from 6.5 to 6.7.1. After upgrade we were not able to tag the existing documents. After some research we came to know that we have to delete couple of EAs ("numberOfChunks" and "subjectMetadata") to make it work. We wrote a script using "iwextattr", and it is working fiine.
But the problem is when we run the script file attributes of the documents, like Last modified by user and date are getting changed. Using "touch -t" we are able to retain the last modified time, But I am not able to retain last modified by user name.
Please let us know if you have any idea how to retain that.

strange, I had no issues with tagging even though we retained the those redundant metadata EAs
