None retrieval task failing for Flash file after 4.6.2 upgrade
Bill Klish
MediaBin 4.6.2 Patch 1
Windows 2003 EE 64 bit
SQL Server 2005 SP3 64 bit
The None task is failing when we are trying to download a Flash file from the repository with the following message:
ERROR: Job {530B731F-3F5C-4A2C-AB73-F9E2464C1D15} Setting parameters in primitive Flash Decoder. RC = File format unsupported by decoder.
I double checked that this is the None task and it was not modified. It has no properties visible when opening it up, so not sure what it is decoding.
Any ideas?

This issue has been solved. It is a bug in the MB_Flash.dll file and I believe a general patch will be made available for this problem.

To be very specific, this handles the case in which you are retrieving flash files that were inserted before 4.6 (or later) was installed. It has to do with MediaBin's conventions for naming internal files.
While downloading the patch is certainly not a bad idea (it will also eventually make its way into the next roll-up), if anyone has only a few instances on the problem a workaround is to retrieve the affected assets via (Get Original) and insert then again.
Cheers,
