XML parsing in not working

Hi

I am using following code to get container information

my @imgList = $rootnode->get_node_list('object_details.link_attach_cont[1].attachment.*');
foreach my $tnode (@imgList){
print LOG "Attachment Widget Information value with 1: ", $tnode->value() , "\n" if $debug;
}

This works and gives me the information..

but if I modify code as below

my $te = 1;
my @imgList = $rootnode->get_node_list('object_details.link_attach_cont[$te].attachment.*');
foreach my $tnode (@imgList){
#my @todcList = $node->get_node_list('*');
print LOG "Attachment Widget Information value with 1: ", $tnode->value() , "\n" if $debug;
}

It does not work..

Please help..

Syntax is wrong.
my @imgList = $rootnode->get_node_list('object_details.link_attach_cont[$te].attachment.*');
Change to
my @imgList = $rootnode->get_node_list('object_details.link_attach_cont['.$te.'].attachment.*');

Because $ in '' quote will take as $ char, it wont recognize as variable name

Please change the code as mentioned above and let me know if not works

I would probably try just switching from single- to double-quotes:

my @imgList = $rootnode->get_node_list("object_details.link_attach_cont[$te].attachment.*");

and only if that didn't work try to use the concatenation (dot '.') syntax.

FWIW, the more thorough explanation is: variable names (a string of characters preceded by a $) will not get interpreted / interpolated within single-quotes - but will within double-quotes.
