Images deployment
parsan99
Hi
We have an Images branch which doesnt submit to staging or publish editions. The deployment from this branch goes to our image server which also has images coming from other sources than Teamsite. How do we clean up the target for any images deleted on the source branch in Teamsite.
Many Thanks..

Its always tricky when TeamSIte isnt the single repository.
If you used directory comparison deployment with doDeletes on, all files that dont live inside TeamSite will be blown away.
One option is to use file list deployment with doDeletes on.
If a file has been deleted and it is in your filelist, it will be deleted on the target if doDeletes is on.

Although it might take more work in the short-term, in the long-term using a directory structure for your images such that the TeamSite based images and non-TeamSite based images are within different directory trees, you'll find it much easier to manage/maintain the TeamSite-based images through the use of OpenDeploy with doDeletes enabled (possibly with filters for known sub-directories that come from other sources)

Be careful with the 'doDeletes' with filters turned on . . . that only works "the way you think it should" in OpenDeploy version 5.5.1
In otherwords, if you we're expecting the have an OD config file that says "deploy these TeamSite directories A, B, C with doDeletes turned on, but not directories X, Y, Z that you'll find on the target because they come from another source" that won't work unless you use OD 5.5.1
