staging lost and web application run errors

1 "STAGING" in "Y:\IOS\main\IOS" lost, and I run command "iwmkwa //teamsite/ios/main/ios staging '' INITIAL everyone" with no error, but the folder "STAGING" can not be seen, even if I reboot my computer or reboot the services.

2 The web application run errors, it seems that it can not know where the vpath "//teamsite"(server computer name) refer to. If I click "file"->"new...", it show error "Can not list the contents of a folder: the folder lost, or specify the incorrect folder.", If I click "view"->"my workarea", it show error "run command com.interwoven.ui.teamsite.filesys.GetWorkareasCommand$ForUserRecursively error ". And I check all configures and services and IIS location, there are no problems from my point.

I read all guides, but can not fix it, please help me, thanks.

Are you saying that "STAGING" area is missing ?

I think you may have confused things - your iwmkwa command (above) would create a workarea named "staging" - not the TeamSite STAGING area -- those are two different things.

I don't believe you could lose the STAGING area for a branch - you could however be looking for it in the wrong place, or perhaps not have the proper access rights or role to see it.

If you truly believe you managed to lose STAGING for a given branch - you should probably engage IWOV Support and have them create a LiveMeeting session (or similar) so that they can see what's going on, on your server.

Open your TS browser for this branch, screenshot and post.

If the staging are is truly gone, then get on the phone with support. You will also need to run iwfsck, but do not fix any errors unless told to by support.

Check the iw.cfg settings for branch security and workarea security. Also, who owns the branches ? Check the properties.

Did you change users or move the content store ?

You need to contact support. I have seen this exact issue occur and it was due to corruption in the backing store. Get a backup ready to be restored as it is the only sure way to get back to a known good state.

Nipper - that's a "label" - as in what appears within the GUI - it has nothing to do with the actual directory name.

Ok, For some other reasons, the maintaince was expired, and the problem occured in the test environment, so no renew until now. so...

I will check the user permissions with support tools (windows 2003), but the both security are off and I used "administrator", so ...
