Datadeploy update null value in date field

Hi,
We are unable to update null value in the database field using datadeploy.
We are using MS SQL 2005 server as our DB server. The field type of the field in database is datetime.We want to update the startdate and enddate with null values when user does not enter any value for these fields.
However the database does not get updated for null values of these fields. It throws the below error and completes the deployment.

What is the TS and OD/DD version you are using?

We are using TSv6.7.1 Service Pack 1 and OD6.2

Are you using SitePublisher/Livesite also?
If so then make sure livesite-opendeploy.jar file is available at /od-home/userlib location.

This looks like an issue where you may have to use a different string value (like "00:00:00" or "01/01/1901 00:00:00") to simulate a null value for a DATETIME field

We had tried that. When we tried to use 00/00/0000 00:00:00 , there was an error thrown that the format does not match the format defined in SimpleDateFormat.parse()
