Hi,

I have the following code in the EditProf.nrs script that will update the "Do Not Refile Security" checkbox of the document properties.

oDoc.SetAttributeValueByID 50, True

It could set the checkbox in the properties window to checked by passing a "True" value, and unchecked by passing a "False" value.

In addition to check or uncheck, the checkbox could actually be set to a status with grey background color and with a tick. In the database, the field is set to Null for this status.

However when I try to pass a Null to it, an error occured. Seems like only True or False could be passed in.

Does anyone know any methods to set it to the grey background status?

Hi Derek

SetAttributeValueByID takes 3 parameters:

1. an integer representing the field you want to update (an AttributeID enum)
2. an object representing the value you want to set (this is not strongly-typed so could be a string, date, integer, etc, depending on the field you are updating)
3. a boolean representing the enabled state of the backing field on the dialog (i.e. setting it to False will grey out the field making it read-only)

Strange. I tested it first and it worked to set the checkbox to intermediate state. I also checked the source code and it does set it to this state whenever the value pass in is evaluated to a variant of Empty or NULL.
