xCP Deployment - process into specific folder in repository

Hi,

I have a process designed in xcp Designer 16.4.1. By default this process will be deployed into deployment users home folder in repository.

Is there a way to deploy the process into a specific folder in repository? In Composer you can do that but I coud not find a way with xCP Designer.

As a workaround, have you tried to execute DQL UPDATE within process to move the process instance itself?

I did not, but I am sure this will be possible. There are a couple of objects installed with the dm_process object (activities,...), so I have to perform updates for each object.

It would make more sense for us to deployed it directly into the correct folder

I thought you were talking about process instance (dm_workflow), not process template (dm_process). You should be able to define the install location as parameter in xcp project. Alternatively, you can use Documentum Admin to move process template and all associated objects to /System/Applications/... folder.

yes, the question is how to set install location as parameter in xcp project?

You define application parameter for folder location that you want to install it to. I think in the application properties, you can then reference parameter. I dont have xcp on my computer anymore, so I cant display screenshots.

I can create application paramter for folder yes, but I could not find the possibility to reference the parameter in application properties to use it as installation location for dm_process.
