Restrict CARA view to see only 1 cabinet

Hi,

Below are the actions I have already performed:

1. All my documents and folders belong to '/Abc' cabinet.
2. I created a ACL 'dm_sampleacl' with read permission and added a group 'sample_read_group' which also have read permission.
3. I gave ACL 'dm_sampleacl' to cabinet '/Abc', and all folders and documents under it
4. In CARA view 'sampleView', I added the specific object_type of the documents and added the group 'sample_read_group' in Security.

Below are my queries:

1. I am able to see the cabinet '/Abc', folders and documents and open them from another view. How can I customize in CARA so that all users should not see documents from '/Abc' cabinet from other views?
2. Users are able to see all other cabinets, but not documents in this view 'sampleView'. How can I customize in CARA so that users can see only this cabinet '/Abc' in this view 'sampleView'? I know about Cabinet Restriction, but that is specific to user. I need to customize for all users in group 'sample_read_group' so that they will see only 1 cabinet.

1) I dont think this is possible. The Documentum security model is applied to the objects themselves. So even if you were filter out the other cabinets, users who have permission on the documents, can still find those documents via search.

2) I suggest you contact Carahsoft. This is not OpenText product, so people on these boards may not have experience you are looking for.
