OS to non OS users

TS 6.5 SP3 (Solaris)

We are upgrading to 6.7.1 SP1 and planning to use MS Active directory.

As per the below points from Admin document,

1. Non-OS users cannot use the Perl compiler to compile presentation templates. TheXSLT PT compiler must be used.

2. Non-OS users cannot be the owners of external tasks since OS impersonation is notpossible; use an URL external task. If a non-OS user attempts to execute an externaltask, the task is not launched and an error displays in the iwjoberrors.log file.


The workflow external tasks should be changed into URL tasks. The tpl should be converted into XSL. The problem is that I have 15+ workflows and 50+ tpls. The effort for convertion looks more.

I am planning to test the following two flags.

disable_ext_task_impersonation=true
impersonate_without_password=true


Will it help me to avoid the above mentioned changes for external task and presentation template.

Will it have any other major security impact.
