I do not think there is a CLT for getting the vesion of LiveSite.

But you can see installed product's version with TeamSite.

From CCPro -> About (at top right corner) -> Details.

Here you will see the list TS products with version and installation information.

I think there is some issue with this button, its showing me "Could not get installation for TeamSite", that's why I was checking if there is some alternate way of getting this version.

It means there might be some issue with installation....

You can also know about Livesite installation information with

####_InstallLog.xml

file at

/iwinstall/products/LiveSite/log

location.

Did someone move or remove your iwinstall directory? It is expected to be found as a sibling directory to IWHOME - i.e.: IWHOME/../

If you are talking about LiveSite Runtime then go look at this file:
livesite-home/runtime/META-INF/version.html

If you are talking about SitePublisher then you can look at the "About" link in CCPro.

I just noticed that you mentioned that in TS (SP side) you are unable to access the "About>Details" link in CCPro for whatever reason.

A simple way to find out the version in SP to do this:
1. Create a brand new .page file.
2. Just to be for sure, drop a simple text component (for that matter any component).
3. Save the .page file.
4. In Windows Explorer, browse to that directory and open that .page file in any text editor.
5. Check for a XML node similar to this in that file:
<Page ID="1219238551076" Version="3.1.0.0" Private="false" Template="false">

This will tell you the version number.

iwinstall directory is present under /usr/iw-home directory which is the correct location which means that directory has not been moved or deleted.

It should not be in /usr/iw-home - it should be next to /usr/iw-home (assuming /usr/iw-home is IWHOME) - this would be correct:

/usr/iw-home
/usr/iwinstall

While this would be wrong:

/usr/iw-home[color=red]
/usr/iw-home/iwinstall[/color]

See the difference?

You should try moving it to /usr/iwinstall and see if that fixes things.
Note - if the About link doesn't work - chances are you will not be able to [easily] apply service packs and/or patches, let alone upgrades to new base versions (on the same server).
