Submit from Datacapture Form

First I want to say that I am new to TeamSite and I did search for a solution for this and didn't find anything. So if there is already a thread for this I apologize.

What I am hoping to do is just have a submit button in the toolbar of the little edit window. Preview doesn't work on our servers so it would be helpful to have this in the datacatpure/edit form window (the window that comes up after clicking 'edit').

So I am thinking, the user clicks this submit button, the output file is generated and deployed. If this has to be separated so that the user has to generate then click submit, that is ok.

Like I said, I am new to this, my company is not offering any training so even the documentation doesn't help much.

First you do not say what type of WFs you use, so give that, OS and rev of TeamSite.

Now to your specific question, for WFTs, there is a command in available_templates.cfg called tt_data which tells the WF engine to ask to start a WF when a user clicks finish off of a DCR. That is the typical approach.

WFM has the same mechanism, however for certain verisions of TS (6.7.1), there was a bug that it would not work if only WFMs were defined.

So I can add tt_data to this node and it works for onsave, but when we select the file (checkbox) and click 'Submit' we don't have the the WF above available, it just goes directly to the submit to staging wf.

Are you simply populating the value of new form entry? As per your question it looks you are not asking for Workflow. It looks that You are asking for generation and submission.

When we Sumit in teamsite in general it goes to TeamSite Staging.It will not be deployed until and unless you are not using OpenDeploy/DataDeploy.

You are mixing old and new syntax for the available_templates.cfg file - it should either be [OLD][html]

[/html]or [NEW]:[html]

[/html]For 6.7.2 you should use the NEW - for 6.5 (and earlier) you should use the OLD - for 6.7.1 I think you should be using the NEW style.
