Integrating Interwoven with other CMS Products or Migrated from other CMS

Is anybody has done before Other CMS products integrating with Interwoven or Migration to Interwoven from other CMS Products like Alfresco(Opensource) or Vignette(ECM).
Please share your ideas.

This is too open ended to answer. You are better off asking specific questions in regards to what you're specifically looking to do. What do you mean by "integrating"? What do you mean by "migrating"? Using many different CMS products simultaneously? Using one product to do one thing, and another to do another? Or phasing out one product and moving to another completely?

Integrations and migrations are very different animals. I suggest asking an Enterprise application architect the former and possibly a data architect the latter as a start

Thread has started to check how much the difficulties they faced or is it really achievable solution on the below things or any has tried early to achieve the below things

1. Integration between Interwoven and Sharepoint portal or VAP(Vignette) or CMS Products
2. Migration from Open Source or ECM content and code to Interwoven

Nice link. I went through Share point CMS, there it has mentioned Sharepoint integration with other CMS products.
In the same way whether it is possible to achieve using webservices in Interwoven or not? this is my question.

Folks, here I will be looking for the solution or some kind of new learnings ourself. Not to discuss some rubbish things.

There was a Java Specification Request (JSR-170) for interoperability of Content repositories a few years back. I believe both Interwoven and Vignette were on the working group for this specification. An API came out of this Request.

Could be something to check up on.

I am merely trying to point you in the right direction to assist in your investigations.

Another pointer: migrations are about your ins and outs.
I would start with determining which direction you are going interwoven to vignette or vice versa.

As I implied in a previous post these these a very high-level EAI type questions you are asking I suggest employing the appropriate resources.

Thanks thatsfish. As of now I am trying with Alfresco integration with Interwoven as like SHAREPOINT to learn myself on the integration and share the info.
If we able get success on content integration then content migration will be achievable solution. Next step lets find out code migration stuffs across CMS products.

Scope:
Third party plugins integration was easily configurable in Open Source CMS. In some cases we can use the above ways when the Interwoven not support customer expected features.

1. Trying to find the integration between Interwoven and other CMS as like sharepoint CMS functionality.

2. Migration from Vignette to Interwoven(requirement from one of my customer)
Check just feasibility ways here to achieve
3. Alfresco migration to Interwoven
Check just feasibility ways here to achieve

4. Atlast to integrate Flex(RIA) with CMS (R&D stuff)
- content from CMS, using Flex to generate the RIA application then use CMS to manage the application and distribute across global.
- if not possible to integrate with interwoven then try to using Opensource CMS to achieve above.

Search this forum for CSSDK. And I hope the "dome" was a typo for "some" and not actually "dome", lest we have to start answering questions about how to run Interwoven stuff on OS/2 or an Amiga! Smiley Happy
