What does this entry mean ?

deploy_filelist.ipl is the perl script located in the path " I:\iw-home/httpd/iw-bin/iw-bin/communication/ " and it can not be run. Then whats the first path "I:\iw-home/iw-perl/bin/iwperl.exe" for ?

I have pasted same question in TeamSite also as I am not aware where to put this question.

well, frankly, by now you should know what is is path - it's perl executable that runs your perl script.

the script could be run for all sorts of different reasons - if this a brand new script, try to debug it, if it's a script that is known for being worked for a long time, check your deployment environment.

I do understand what path is. Confusion is, usually I mention the path upto the directory level where exe file is kept (And dont include exe file in the path). Or mostly just include path as an environment variable. But here exe file is included in the path. This part I dont understand, why is it required to include perl.exe file in the path ?
Secondly , how to figure out whether perl script is CGI program or not ?

perl executable is put to make sure that it will work even without the shebang line. In Windows it was basically the common practice.

One can inspect the script and tell if it's a CGI or not almost straightaway.
