Logging the log4j for the customized MailNotificationTask

Hi,

We are trying to customize our own java class for the email notification in the Control Hub.

we are able to send the email via the customized java class "MailNotificationTask.java " in following path iw-home/local/config/lib/content_center/customer_samples_src/src/com/corp/custom.

The customer_samples jar is also created and the mail is triggered from it.

Our concern is before generating the email we are unable to see the Mailcontent.xml which is created by the MailNotificationTask.java.

we tried to log using the configuration in log4j, but no luck.

Is there is any other way to output Mailcontent.xml content through the java file or log the error in log4j.

I suggest having a look at the source code and finding out.

I believe the xml file you are referring to does not get beyond being held in memory so if necessary add some debugging code to output the xml

You refer to an error - what is the error you are getting ?

assuming you have access to change the source code, print the content of this String "contentXml". you can use System.out and the output will go to servletd_out.log or write it into a tmp file using any java write to file method.

You can always turn your class logger on at runtime:
http://your_server/iw-cc/command/iw.base.loggers

The sample source code is there in the customer_samples_src directory. You can edit that file and print out the MailContent.XML.

But turning on the base loggers would also be helpful, but it will add a lot of text to your servletd_out.log, so remember to turn it off after you finish debugging.
