DCT - items per page not working

Hi,
I have a requirement to show like pages in DCR.
I added the items-per-page=1 in templating.cfg for that template.
I tried in 2 ways.

1.In the DCT, I have
/Root/Main1/................contains items, containers inside.......................
/Root/Main2/................contains items, containers inside.......................
/Root/Main3/................contains items, containers inside.......................
Since the items-per-page is 1, each of these containers - Main1, Main2, Main3 etc should show in pages but it is not working.

2.In the DCT, I put
/Root/Main/CONTAINERA.......items, containers inside.......................
/Root/Main/CONTAINERB.......items, containers inside.......................
/Root/Main/CONTAINERC.......items, containers inside.......................
Since the items-per page is 1, it should show each container inside the "Main"
in different pages but it is not working.

Please suggest a solution and thanks for replying.

Can we assume that /Root is the root-container?
Are Main1, Main2, and Main3 containers - directly within the Root? i.e.: [html]

[/html]If so, and you have items-per-page correctly configured, this should work.

Is this DCT of type "xml" or "iwov"?

The second case sounds like:[html]

...

[/html]In this case - "Main" is the top-level container that qualifies as the one item-per-page and Main1, Main2, and Main3 will all show up on the same page as the containing Main.

We are using iwov type.
Still it's not working.
We are using TS 6.5 and the structure of DCT is attached here and also in templating.cfg was configured like below:

If you're using "iwov" type - your DCT should look like this:[html]

[/html]If you're using "iwov" style (recommended, IMO) - your DCT should look like:[html]

...

[/html]Right now you seem to have a confused mixture of both styles of DCT - and that's probably why it isn't working for you (you'll have other problems later on because of this too)
