browse button - navigating to another branch
System
I'm having some trouble with the <browser> element.
I have
<item name="XYZ">
<browser required="t" extns=".html" initial-dir="/" size="30"/>
</item>
I'm not able to navigate to select a html file in another branch. The 'Select asset' window only lists files within the current branch I am in.
I tried initial-dir="", no initial-dir etc. but nothing seems to work.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Saravanan

This is a limitation of the browse tag (it is only designed to browse within the local workarea for images). There have been some callouts floating around that allow for browsing outside of the workarea.
I don't currently have a copy, but maybe someone else on the forum might be able to post one?

theire is no need to ask for it. it's available in the Tech Library
http://devnet.interwoven.com/site.fcgi/techlib/52258
note, that it's written for 5.X. In 6.X URI::Escape has changed, thus the $query need to be split into series of uri_escape calls, just for the variables.
