iwat not triggered in prod server

I'm using iwat for Lock and UnLock events on my dev machine and it works.

However it doesn't work on the production server. I can see the events appear in iwevents.log though.

I'm using TS 6.7.1 on Solaris 9; any ideas?

My guess - either there's something "wrong" with the script such that it doesn't work on your production server - or you "fat-fingered" something when you setup the iwat trigger.

Things to look for:

Are you invoking it foo.ipl or iwperl foo.ipl ?

IIRC, the DOS line endings break the shebang line only when you try to run the script alone (foo.ipl) and not by explicitly running iwperl (iwperl foo.ipl)

I was doing something like: iwat Lock foo.ipl
foo.ipl's shebang line was point to iwperl

If you do that, you will get bitten by the back shebang line.

Just to make sure - you are putting the full path to foo.ipl on the command line there - yes? Just because the file may be in your current working directory does not mean that you can assume that iwat will know that. Be explicit.
