Voluminous data for deployment

We are trying out an observation by doing a simple XML to database deployment. The xml has nearly 6184 records that needs to get inserted into a table and we are using value-from-element on the dd config for this. It takes nearly 7 hrs to deploy from a ControlHub 2.0 server (on unix) to an informix database table. Can we use stored procedure and then deploy the xml or is there a way to minimize the deployment time for this voluminous data?
