Multiple instances of TeamSite on one host

Hi ,

We are doing analysis for migrating TeamSite 6.7.2.
We have Three seprate boxes for three instances ( Dev, stage and prod).

We are looking for a option, through which we can Install this three environment of TeamSite on one host ( virtualization ).

From support we got below reason for not installing.
-Licensing
-iwinstall directory
-iwdefault* file in /etc
Each server can only 1 set of the item mentioned above.

Looks, above information is not sufficient. Can anyone tell me some more limitations, why this installation is not possibe. I can provide this to Infra team.

Note: We have OD/DD on same host, and we need multiple instances of OD/DD as well.

Is the fact that "this will not be supported" a good enough reason? TS has some kernel level modules that are not compatible with most virtualizations.

Sounds fun. Good luck. I hope you do not include your production TS there because you will likely royally hose everything

Now if you can make 3 virtual servers on one server, that *may* work. It is done with VMWare all the time. I also know that Sun has a similar ability but do not know if it is supported.

Support may have something. I know Sunil (the TS PM) has made an announcement about it.
