how can i call a script while importing a file into workarea?

Hello All,

i need to every time rename the filename being imported to certain category-type in a my workarea, automatically (based on a certain criteria).

Acutally i m looking for a way to call a perl script whenever user hit the import button when the user is in that category-type folder.

can anyone tell me the possible solutions?

And you won't see a answer to your query. However you can use that information to design an approach. It will not be easy. You would need to write you own import routine and then kick off the scipt.

However if you post your use case, then maybe someone can give you some ideas for a different approach. There may be ways to do this in WF that will met the requirements without significant effort.

Import URL Command has a "done_page" Parameter, you can use it to call your own CGI. From there you can do what you want,
just make sure that you follow the CGI Protocol, close the Window when done, etc... Note that if you are using OTB "Import"
menu Item for that Processing you may want to remove it and substitute with your own to utilize "done_page"
