OD Base Server Installation Issue

Hi,

I have installed OD base on Solaris 10 (Solaris 10 1/06 s10x_u1wos_19a X86) using the IWOVopendeployBaseFull.6.2.0.0.0.Build68916.SunOS.tar.gz available on support website.

The installation happened sucessfully without any errors, but when I try to use any OD command line it is giving me error -

/apps/interwoven/OpenDeployNG/lib/iwodclt: /apps/interwoven/OpenDeployNG/jre/bin/java: cannot execute

I have the following Java version installed on my Solaris box -

Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_06-b05)
Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (build 1.5.0_06-b05, mixed mode)

Any pointers to this issue, please help.

Have look at the OD jre location
/apps/interwoven/OpenDeployNG/jre/bin/java
1. Check it exists or not
2. OD will supported jdk1.4......
3. Post your log information

Hi Jagadeesh,

1) It doesn't exisit.
2) I know OD supports JDK1.4 and higher version, so it should ideally support this jdk version
3) Installation logs are attached

Hi Maddy,
Are you sure the directory not exists in your box.
But I am checking the log
x OpenDeployNG/jre/bin/java, 79564 bytes, 156 tape blocks
It got extracted to that folder.
Can you please post your od.log

My bad. The directory exists. I missed out it yesterday.

Please find attached the od.log as well.

I just noticed the comptaibility matrix for OD and TS today and found that x86 on Solaris is not supported. Could this be a potential issue?

Check with support Team on Compatibility issue.Just try to restart the box Sometimes it will resolve the problem when it trying to restart box using root.

Hi,

1) Did you install the product using root user
2) What is the permission for apps/interwoven/OpenDeployNG/jre/bin/java
3) Are you running Opendeploy on a VMWare image of Solaris?

Also a quick note that OD is not supported on Solaris X86.

I realised last week that Solairs x86 is not supported on either Teamsite and OD, so have changed the OS to Solris 10 on LDOM.
