Deploy metadata to the database.

I am using OD & DD to deploy files & DCR values to the target server ,
(Web Server / DB server) My Work Flow( Using WFM) deploy (Deploy Task) the above .
I configured the .xml file and dbschema.cfg to deploy dcr values and files .
( in the custom xml file , I can use the source / target locations.) The above is working .

I am also using meta data (metadata-rules.cfg / datacapture.cfg) from the
WF Tagging . This metadata value will also deploy to the database.

(I configured the .xml file and dbschema.cfg

for metadata too)

How can I deploy metadata to the database?
Where should I define the source/ destination location.?
How do I test db updating from the cmmd line ?
Which WF task I should use ?

If you are using normal deployment (file system deployment) then you can use Deploy Task in WFM and pass the deployment config file. In deployment config file implement the DD deployment configuration for DCR and Metadata.
There is an example given at location

//od-home/examples/conf-dd/tutorial/conf

.
Now copy it in

//od-home/conf

. You can check it with below CLT:

iwodcmd start DDTutorial/ddconfig –k iwdd=deploymentname

For more information about DD configuration go through the DD admin guide.

If you want to use it as Publish Livesite Content workflow then you have to create a metadata DD deployment config file (##_metadat.xml) that should be located at

//od-home/conf/LiveSite

folder.
