Searched for LDAP users aren't being added

Hi,

We've set up the "user_databases.xml" file so we can browse LDAP and add users to TeamSite. We seem to be able to add users from our europe LDAP group only.

People outside the europe group can be browsed for and are returned but when I hit the "ok" button on the "Add user" screen the user is not added into TeamSite.

Does anybody have an ideas what I can check to solve this issue?

Did you "select" the user before doing "add user"? I.e. initially the names appear in the top-half of the screen - but you have to select them so that they show up in the bottom half of the screen before you actually add them to TS.

Thanks for the reply, yes I did select the user first, I've noticed that the ui is a bit fiddly. The strange thing is I can add some users fine but others just never make it into tsusers.xml.

Does anyone know what steps are being run after you select a user from the LDAP list then click “add user”? it seems as though these users are being lost somewhere during this step.

We've worked out this was an issue with adding os and non os users with the same iwldap configuration in user_database.xml. We got around it by using two different configurations, one for os users and the other for non os users:
