taketask with CCI (group task)

Hi All,
I have an issue with the tasktask cci in 6.7.1.

The memeber of the grouptask (for approval) are sent an email with the link to the group task using /iw-cc/taketask... url. If user A first goes and "takes" the task then the owner of the task is set to that user. However, if an other member of the group e.g. UserB clicks on the link in the email he/she received, it takes him/her to the /iw-cc/taketask url as well. This opens the already taken task (by User A). At this time the task is owned by User A but User B is able to "Accept" or "Reject" the task without the need for taking the ownership of the task.

This really confuses our users. Any idea how I can fix it so that if the task is already taken, the taketask link in the email will work fine.

I read some other posts on this issue and they suggest to link to a cgi script for the link in the email. This script would take the task and then transition the user to the group task. If the task is already taken by an other user, then display a message to the user stating that.

The problem I have with this is that in the CGI task, I need to take the task using the TakeTask function of WFtask. I need the user information to pass to this function. How can I get it.??

As I mentioned, the approver task is not owned yet, so how can I get the owner before it is owned???

Remember, TeamSite::WFtask is a Class. GetOwner method will give you an owner of the Task Object that
executes this method. So, providing that $myCurrentCGI is your active CGI Task Object (self) $myCurrentCGI->GetOwner()
will return an owner of this Task. $someOtherClass->GetOwner() returns an owner of "Some Other Task".

And no, the method can not look into the future and tell you who will own the Group Task. Depending on the Group
Task State you'll get either Perl's "undef", 'no user' String or the previous Task owner. There are details here if you
set Task's 'retainowner' Attribute to true but that's different story.
