Hi Everyone,

I developed a simple application with DFC but got an error that I cannot manipulate the dm_document objects. I've done research but couldn't find any source about this error. While I can manipulate related objects from xCP Designer and DA, when I try with dfc I get the following error

com.emc.xcp.runtime.aspect.utils.CheckForDataModelXcpness - Error while retrieving data type runtime model: dm_document

java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError: null

Can someone help ?

It is not clear what are you trying to achieve with your program. What I can see here is that you should be able to work with dm_document instances but it is not allowed to change dm_document definition in any form. This is because any change you might perform to that doctype would break compatibility with future upgrades or any additional product o service you might need to enable on the platform.

So, If you need to make any definition changes you must define and create a custom type inheriting from dm_document

I cannot change my dm_document or other objects with DFC code. My code that used to work but it is not working now. I'm developing on Eclipse, I think it may be caused by the class path, but I don't know what exactly this error means.

It gives this error when the doc.save() method is called.

I think the model and dfc versions do not match and that's why I'm getting an error, but I don't know how to solve this or how to find and compare these versions.

Output of the application:

Connection established to XCPPROD

34050 bytes are copied to output stream

doc is immutable : false

So far the application is working. Afterwards, when the save method is called, I encounter the following error. It says the documents are in protected mode.
