Problem setting extended attribute on directory

Hi,

I am trying to set an EA on a directory but so far without success. The iwextattr help text says this is possible, but when I try to do that, I get the following error:

bash-2.05$ iwextattr -s foo=bar /iwstore4/main/mybranch/WORKAREA/redaktion/testdir
EA lookup failed, server returned error 2439

Has anyone ever done this with success? Is there a config option in TS that controls iwextattr?

I am on Solaris with Teamsite 6.7

To the best of my knowledge, it is not possible to do so as TeamSite does not version directories, only files within directories.

I think this might be one of those documentation bugs - which you should probably open up a case, to file the bug report, with IWOV Support.
