Hi,

Documents ingested into Documentum server 21.3 using Imagetrust creating C2 EXPORT format instead of PDF as configured in Imagetrust. As a result this c2_export documents cannot be previewed in D2 and they show a question mark in the document icon, se the image attached:

How do I default to the creation of pdf instead c2_export?

This is a classical problem at ingestion time. I suppose that Imagetrust is checking for the Documentum format based on the extension, e.g. select * from dm_format where dos_extension = 'pdf' which returns more than one format and it probably picks the first one returned, which happens to be C2 EXPORT.

This Imagetrust tool should provide a way to do the mapping between the extension or mime type and the target Documentum format 'pdf'.

Thank you for the response, this is confirming my fears and I was hoping not to write any tbo to update this property.

Imagetrust exposes a_content_type which I have a mapped to the string "pdf" but is set on set when the document is checked on documentum, strange!

I am also communicating with Imagetrust OEM to see if this can be resolved without me writing any code

I will advice here when it is resolved or not

The problem is resolved by a Documentum REST configuration mapping the mime_type to format in the rest-api-runtime.properties file.

There is also rest-api-runtime.properties.template with the examples of how that is done
