Signing into Developer - You MUST activate your new IAM account after OT Connect migration to IAM
On September 11th, 2022, OpenText launched its next generation My Support Portal, which features a redesigned portal UI, advanced self-help functionality, personalized support, and an enhanced knowledge experience.
Along with the many changes made to the My Support Portal, we also replaced the identity management system behind the OpenText Connect authentication tool with OpenText™ Identity and Access Management (IAM) as your single-entry point to OpenText developer and OpenText support resources.
Your existing account has been migrated into IAM for you, but you will need to activate this new IAM account to access the developer console and new My Support Portal and set a new password.
1) Activate your IAM account
To activate your new IAM account and re-gain access to the developer console and other OpenText web properties, follow the steps below to activate your OpenText IAM account:
1. Go to https://login.opentext.com/forgotPassword.do?event=activate.
2. In the User ID field, enter the email address you used to log on to your OpenText Connect account and click Submit. This email address is the one you used to access developer console prior to our move to IAM on September 11, 2022.
3. On Step 2, re-enter your email address and the last name associated with your OpenText Connect account. Accept the reCAPTCHA and click Submit.
4. You will receive an email message to set a password for your new OpenText IAM account.
2) Set your new password
1. From the Create Your Password email (see example below), click please set your password.
Note: If you cannot find the email in your Inbox, check your Junk Email folder. If you still cannot find the email, retry the steps in section 1.1 above. If you do not receive your email reset password after a second attempt, contact your local OpenText Support office for assistance.
2. Enter the new password you wish to set for your OpenText IAM account.
3. Retype your password to confirm. Refer to the table below for the requirements that must be met when choosing a password:
4. Click Activate.
You will receive a confirmation message that the user account has been successfully activated.
3) Accessing the developer console for the first time after IAM activation
1. Once you have activated your account and wish to access the developer site and console follow the following link: https://developer.opentext.com.
2. Click the Sign in link in the top right of the screen and sign-in using your IAM userid and new password that you have just activated and set.
3. Approve the Privacy Policy by checking the checkbox for I accept and click Continue.
4. You are now logged in and redirected back to the developer site.
5. Hover over the Console menu to see the organizations you have access to and click one of these to open the console for that organization. Developer Console is opened in another tab.
Troubleshooting
We have received some reports of existing cookies and other web data impacting the ability to use IAM to access the developer site and console. If this is the case, we would recommend the following steps:
1. Try accessing the developer site and console using Incognito/Private Browsing mode to negate any prior cookies.
2. If this is successful, then we would recommend you clearing cookies from OpenText.
