TS Refresh from Prod to Test

Has anyone ever done a data content refresh from production to test environment? We just did one and it caused me to resetup all the security on each branch. I'm just wondering if there is an easier/faster way to do it.

Since there is no standard way to refresh content, it is impossible to guess as to how you did it and thus how to do it better next time.

FYI, I do this fairly often and with OpenDeploy and a well designed system it is not that hard to do cleanly
