Generating multiple DCR using presentation template

Hi,
My env teamsite 6.7.1 sp1 on solaris.

I am trying to achive a new functionality where, in the parent DCR I have 2 conatiner
1. Global conatiner
2. Local conatiner which is replicant

No depending upon the number of local conatiner i need to create so many DCR that will also have global conatiner as common to all the new DCR.

If any one has implemented this pls let me how to proceed further i am trying through iw_ostream in the tpl but was able to proceed further.

1st, ostream should work. That is how I would do this, using a TPL. So then you need to figure out what it is doing wrong. We cannot guess at that, though there are several good possibilities.

2nd, rethink your use-case. Make certain you have thought through how this will be used in the future. Typically splitting DCRs is a one shot deal. If it is, I would not use a TPL, but a Perl script instead. If this is the continuing operation of the site, always creating another DCR from the 1st, then how does locking or workflow affect it ?

..as is these two were 2 different things.....

but actually using a TPL is a good idea - IWOV uses them for many other purposes as you know Smiley Happy

but these days I would probably suggest XSL-based TPL as well.

you wish is somewhat unclear to me. Do you need to do this once as part of a conversion? Or do you need to do this on a operational basis?

If you need to achieve the second I strongly urge you to re-think because keeping all this data in sync will be an absolute nightmare which is bound to fail. Why would you need to store all this data twice?

The first is quite simple and can be done in any way perl/xsl/tpl/...
