TeamSite User Clean-up based on users not using system for a while

Hi,
We have TS6.7.2 on Unix.
We would like a list of the TeamSite users that have not been active in
the certain period (for ex:last 90 days). We will be then sending an e-mail to these users to see if they still need their TS account. Otherwise, we will delete them.
I tried to serach for info in this forums and couldn't find any. I may posting in wrong location, pls correct me. First of all is this possible thru any existing commands? Greatly appreciated for any help/suggestion to get teamsite users that have not been active in system for a while...

Take a look at [post=91156]this[/post] post. Note that I'm not sure if this collection still exists in 6.7.2 though.

Thanks, Boris. The files still exists in TS6.7.2 also. Only thing is may need to write a script which parses passwd file and search ID in this data file and then check date and etc.. it's not as easy as like getting it in command line. So, needs some extra efforts to get this job done.

There is no such IWOV CLT command - and the parsing is trivial.

Can someone elaborate this, as on 7.2.1 there are Data files under /iw-home/local/config/entities/Data.

But still its giving a vague info.

How to find the list of active users for removing the IDs which are not user from longer time.

Try running (and recording) iwrecentusers once per day for 7 to 30 days - any user who you do not see in that list - remove from the system - if you don't hear any complaints from them for another 30 days you're probably okay.

I'm not sure what issues you are having but it's pretty simple. If I open the file I can clearly see a username on the 4th line of each file. The last modified date on the file will let you know when they were last on the system. Easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy.

Why do you need to "parses passwd file"? What benefit would that give you?
