We have opened tickets with Interwoven support and Ektron on this, but no solution yet. With TS 6.5, are you able to use a different editor other than eWebEditPro? What are our alternatives?
I can't recall if TinyMCE is available with TS 6.5 or not
You can use TinyMCE as a callout editor from a DCT, but not inline.
Firstly, that was not the question. TinyMCE is not provided OTB in the 6.5 Version. It is in 6.7. Secondly, if you ever really tried to implement a WYSIWYG HTML Editor as a DCT callout(I have) you would know that this exercise is far from trivial and absolutely not portable.
I have implemented TinyMCE as a callout and yes you are correct that it is not straighforward and you would have to build all the custom functionalities you had built for VFE all over again for TinyMCE. TinyMCE is not supported by Autonomy/Interwoven, true but in a way VFE is too, issues that were found with VFE (as far as ones that were raised by me with support) were deffered to Ektron for resolution. But yes Interwoven would stand by you and try to resolve it in case of VFE, which cannot be said about TinyMCE as far as TeamSite 6.5 is concerned.I am just suggesting the alternative that she was asking for. Sorry if I stepped on someone's toes there
Did you resolve this? We're having the same problem.It's inserting:
<META content="MSHTML 6.00.6000.16890" name="GENERATOR" />
into our text field.
We just found this out for us on Windows. Maybe it will help you.Looks like our culprit is MS09-046Vulnerability in DHTML Editing Component ActiveX Control Could Allow Remote Code Execution (956844)You can find information about this patch here:http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/MS09-046.mspxtested it by removing it from five workstations and everything worked ok. Looking at removing it from all workstations that use Teamsite. Is new patch that just went out last week. Was applied Monday night and problems started Tuesday night. Hope this helps.
Has anyone heard anything from Support about this? Our users are experiencing the same problem.Ektron is saying upgrade to version 5 for eWebEditPro, but I'm not sure if there would be an issue since it was bundled with TeamSite.
