Description for attach files?

Hi,

TeamSite 6.7.2 on Linux

When you attach files to your workflow, then the instantiation screen is displayed. You can put in descriptions for your own fields that you created.
At the bottom of all your custom fields, you'll see a list of attached files. There's a textbox for you to fill in your (comments, descriptions??) for those attached files. But there is no description telling you what to write in those textarea. Is it possible to add description to those files? Is there a way to make then text instead of textarea?

I am referring to WFM if that matters.

I am not aware of any supported method of customizing the default textbox for the attached files. You may be able to use some custom CSS to get the requirements you are after.

Of course I would be careful that the changes you make are specific to the Initiation Screen of the workflow you are changing and not all workflows. This may be a bit tricky.

Create your own instantiation screen - then you can do whatever you want.

I believe the requirement refers to the "File Comments" Flag of WFM and managing the UI of this area of the screen.

This must get injected onto the instantiation screen based upon the state of the flag. So yes, I suspect CSS/JS may be added to the custom_instantiation.cfg to manage this area of the instantiation screen.

Yes, I know you can put in comments for the textarea. But the problem is, there's no description to tell what needs to be put in. It looks like there is a java program called datacapture_jsp.java located at
iw-home/servletd/work/Catalina/localhost/iw-cc/org/apache/jsp/formspub
which generates the js that is outputted to the instantiation screen. So would we need to modify this java class, recompile it into the servlet engine, so that you would need a description label for the attached files?
