OpenText Magellan BI & Reporting iHub – Performance degradation with CPU and memory usage increasing

Good day to you everyone.

In OpenText Magellan BI & Reporting(iHub), after couple of days depending on the usage, the process starts using an increasing amount of RAM and CPU until it uses all the available CPU and causes severe performance degradation on the usage of iHub and the Online report generation. A restart of iHub is then needed in order to be able to use the interface properly again.

We are using OpenText Magellan BI & Reporting v22.4 for creating reports and dashboards with OpenText AppWorks Platform Data. We are using separate servers for OpenText Magellan BI & Reporting(iHub) and OpenText AppWorks Platform.

We are facing the OutOfMemoryError in the OpenText Magellan BI & Reporting Server even after increasing to 64GB of Memory.

We see that the following errors are captured multiple times in the logs (when the RAM and CPU utilization is high)
1. WARNING: Report generation failed. Cause: {0}com.actuate.reportapi.enginemanager.JREMException: Report generation failed. Cause: {0} Caused by: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space
2. SEVERE: There is insufficient memory to extract data from this report.
3. SEVERE: There is insufficient memory to execute this report.
