DMS: retention of the HISTORY tab

I would like to know if the retention of the HISTORY tab is configurable or a default setting predetermined by the system? Could someone please provide guidance on how to determine and modify the retention settings related to HISTORY tab. Additionally, any insights into best practices for managing data retention within the DMS would be greatly appreciated.

The history tab queries against the Documentum audit trail (dm_audittrail). The audit is not purged by default. There is a job responsible for that called dm_AuditMgt which you can configure and enable.
