Could not start Livesite runtime

Hi,
I have installed livesite runtime 3.1 on linux.After instllation when i tried to start the server , it gave error as:

Starting LiveSite Runtime...
The JAVA_HOME environment variable is not defined correctly
This environment variable is needed to run this program
NB: JAVA_HOME should point to a JDK not a JRE

I checked JAVA_HOME and found it set on the right path.
I also tried to run tomcat start.sh but gives error as:

/LiveSite/jakarta-tomcat-5.0.28/bin/startup.sh: line 21: dirname: command not found
Cannot find /catalina.sh
This file is needed to run this program

Running catalina.sh gives error as:

/LiveSite/jakarta-tomcat-5.0.28/bin/catalina.sh: line 44: uname: command not found
/LiveSite/jakarta-tomcat-5.0.28/bin/catalina.sh: line 63: dirname: command not found

Do 'env' and post what you get, also post where java is installed.

Where / how did you check that JAVA_HOME was set correctly?

I haven't looked at this on a Unix system, but on Windows there are one or two scripts (LSHOME/runtime/run.bat, LSHOME/runtime/win.svc.bat) which need to be edited to ensure that things like JAVA_HOME and CATALINA_BASE, etc. are set correctly. Perhaps you missed editing something like that on your system?

Its working now !!
The issue was with the JAVA_HOME which was not configured correctly inside livesite runtime run.linux.sh file.Setting it explictly does not overwrite JAVA_HOME value.
