6 of 8 cpus at 100% after 4.6.2 upgrade
Bill Klish
MediaBin 4.6.2 patch 1
Windows 2003 EE - 64 bit
SQL Server 2005
After upgrading to MB 4.6.2, and getting a new server with 4 dual core cpus and 32 gb of ram running only the MB server software, 6 of the 8 cpus stay at 100% and sometimes all 8 cpus are at 100% with no users logged in, no active jobs and no jobs run in the past hour. If we restart the services, everything seems to be fine again for a little bit and then it all jumps back up again.
We are authenticating our users to LDAP, but have not seen a load on the LDAP server. The database server is also new, and is not seeing abnormal behavior. There is nothing meaningful in the logs either.
I have opened a support case, but am wondering if anyone else is seeing the same thing as us.
Thanks,
-Bill

Seems odd. Can you enable net.log and try to figure out what the server thinks it is doing? Any errors in MBP.log would also be helpful. In short, this is not expected behavior :-).
