How to Customize DTC ?

Hi,

When I look at the source code my DTC file, I see some HTML tag "table".

Is it possible customize this file and generate our own source code ? because I have some problems with the design...

I would like make this (see my attach files)

You might be able to modify the CSS for the label portion of the table to be non-wrapping, or you need to incorporate non-blocking white-spaces into your label (see this thread for more info)

Yes. And no.

You technically have access to all the JSPs for FormsPublisher, so you COULD make these changes by modifying the right JSPs and other resources and then rebuilding the webapp, following the procedures in the UI customization guide. But doing this is unsupported, and most people usually ending up breaking something. Basically, if you don't know how to do it without having to ask someone, it doesn't make sense to try to do it at all. Even if you are able to make the changes, doing stuff like this makes it a HUGE pain in the rear to do things like upgrades.

Your best bet, for starters is to read the TeamSite® FormsPublisher Developer’s Guide and search for "viewoptions" and "cssurl". Since it is quite restrictive, it is going to be very difficult, maybe impossible, to do what you want to do, but it's the supported way to change the presentation of a DCT.

We had similar issues with a project a few years ago and our client just had to end up accepting a compromise, since there is no other choice. You just can't make a DCT in FormsPublisher look exactly the way you'd like.

Just to make sure: its DCT and not DTC --- not sure if it was a typo or not.

Also the CSS customization is more than likely not a supported / recommended solution (however, it has very minimal negative impact besides the look-n-feel). As such, I think there may not be an official document outlining what you are looking. There may be some information in the FP Dev guide + UI customization guide.
