Although the manuals indicate (or use to) that you should not use sudo, I have in the past successfully done so.

If you're at all concerned about it - get a Sys Admin to log you in as root so that you can perform the installation, or sit with them while they do it (it's a pretty trivial installation)

Installed AS or installed WITH ?

Installed with, no problem. IWOV always recommends against it, but I have done it a bunch.

Now can you make OD USE sudo ? I do not know how.

Basically OD needs to run as a specific user. If it is set to a root install, then the sticky bits are set so that it runs as root. You can have it run a fish as well (or any other user).

Hmm, that must be with the new fish adapter ;-)
