IWDCRInfo.getOwner() does not return anything

I have the following line of code in the .js file

var dcrName = IWDCRInfo.getDCRName();
var dcrOwner = IWDCRInfo.getOwner();
alert('dcrName: ' + dcrName);
alert('dcrOwner: ' + dcrOwner);

When I click on File -> New Data Record to create a new DCR, the alert returns nothing as there was no DCR created & hence there is no dcrName and dcrOwner.. which is ok.

I enter some values in the DCT and save it. So a new DCR is created. When I edit this DCR, the alert shows the dcrName but the dcrOwner returns nothing....

Am I missing something?
