updation of DCR node value using TeamSite::DCRnode

Hi All ,

I am facing issue on updating DCR node's value using TeamSite DCR node module.

This is my DCR node structure and I want to read and update the language node's value.

{?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?}
{Feat}
{Language}en{/Language}
{/Feat}

This is the ipl code snippet for updating this node using TeamSite: Smiley Very Happy

CRnode.

$pathDCR='/iwmnt/default/main/XYZ/en/WORKAREA/Development/templatedata/PPP/DATATYPE/data/TEST';
open(DCR,$pathDCR);
my $xml;
while () {
$xml.=$_;
}
close DCR;

$rootnode = TeamSite: Smiley Very Happy

CRnode->new($xml);

Can anybody please help me on this what should be the command to update the node. Any help would be highly appreciated.

I always use a regex for that instead of DCR node, esp in a case like this.

$target="no-NO";

if ($xml =~ s|en-US|$target|g) {
print "$xml\n";
}
[/php]

So far you have the XML representation of your DCR in your code. Probable next steps:
1. You need to either find (using the XPath) or loop through all nodes until you get to your node.
2. Once you find it, set/update the value.
3. Convert the XML representation back to String.
4. Write that String back to your DCR file.

You may have other options depending on what you are trying to do.

as opposed to formatted like:

</tag>

I also don't think you need the 'g' flag unless you expect multiple entries to be changed within the same XML string. I think something like:

if ($xml =~ s|(<Language>[\s\n]*)en_US([\s\n]*<)|$1$target$2|sm) {
   print $xml;
}

Since these are DCRs, I think the former is a valid assumption. The g flag was because I used a piece of code I wrote before where I needed to change multiple en-US to $target on the same line. Some of our DCRs were saved before I turned on print_pretty_dcrs so the XML was all on one line. I agree you do not need it here.

}

If you cared to read my previous post above, this is exactly what I posted in Steps 3 and 4. There is NO command per say here -- you are probably going to have to do some simple File IO stuff in your script.

Well you know how to open a file to read the contents, do you know how to open a file to write to it ?
