    If you are not using LDAP today with Documentum, I would advise against setting it up now. OpenText announced several years ago that all authentication mechanisms (e.g. authentication plugins) would be transitioned to OTDS. So the way to go is OTDS unfortunately.

    I recently learned the hard-way at a customer site that LDAP authentication was removed from Documentum Server 23.4 (it was still working on 22.4, not sure about 23.2). So we could not authenticate users against LDAP anymore. This was quite a surprise as OpenText and EMC before that were always lousy at removing legacy/deprecated stuff (e.g. Docbasic method server).
