I want to run an anti-virus software before I import any file into Teamsite(so that to ensure all the files are virus-free)

Please suggest where I need to customize to acheive my requirement.

Without modifying/replacing the Import applet (Launchpad) you won't be able to do the validation on the import. Keeping bad files out of the STAGING area can be controlled by adding a validation to any worklfow that will do a Submit. You could use a trigger as well, but I would suggest that workflow provides you the most flexibility.

You can overwrite the functionality of import to click of a workflow which basically has a external task to run anti-virus against the file and then imports it to TS.
