Hi,
I want to know if the following are doable out of the box with LiveSite - i.e with zero or very minimal application development.
1. Publishing a webpage that has mostly static content + some dynamic data (ex: rates or stock quotes) . There could be more than 1 dynamic "widget" on the page - say a sign-in form.
2. For the dynamic portion, can LiveSite support a placeholder that can be provided by a JSP that does not reside in CMS ?
3. Creating a multi-tabbed page with footnotes, superscripts etc and contextual help links that open layers when clicked. .For example, the content could be like :
Online Only offer
1 for
Checking accounts -- note the superscript (1) which will link to a footnote at the bottom of the page. and on clicking "Checking" link, a javascript layer opens up showing the definition of Checking.
4. Supporting multiple locales - say the locale is Spanish (supplied via URL parameter like
www.mysite.com?lang=sp) the Spanish version of content should be shown.
It's ok if we need to do some one-time development in Interwoven to support this, but the primary idea is to keep these pages CMS controlled rather than application controlled simply because they need some dynamism.
Our site uses Interwoven, but stops with generating the DCR XMLs, which is processed by an application component to render the page. I want to explore if Interwoven itself can provide these features and what are the tradeoff's involved here.
Thanks
