SSI for XSL ?

OK, I have a form that pushes data to SP. I also an writing an XSL to preview the data.

The HTML uses #include virtual...... When I have that in the XSL nothing shows (though they do work in the old TPL).

Since it is preview only it does not need to be truly dynamic, I have tried xsl:include href="/iwmnt/def...../blah.inc" among other thing to no avail.

Ideas ?

Then I will toss a monkey wrench, AFAIK, the included file must be valid XML but I include a navigation component that uses & not &

I believe that will break things. Any way around that ?

I miss TPLs. :-)

Is your XSL outputing the #include.... in the HTML? Are you seeing that when you do view source in your browser?

Nope, nothing. I left them as the original HTML style, do I need to change that ?

Sounds like an escape character issue or an error occuring in the XSL transformation. When you run the XSL transformation standalone (outside of TeamSite) do you get the HTML you want?

<xsl:text> can be used to control very specific text output. Probably needed in this case.

Andy, try this (see below).
- No spaces between &l and t; -- its an escaped <
- No spaces between &g and t; -- its an escaped >
I had to do that to get around the formatting issue on my post.

Also note that this will not enable actual SSI functionality in your SP/LS rendition. It will simply output that #include tag in your HTML. I am assuming what you do with that -- you have it figured out.

I am facing the same issue.

I guess this has something to do with the Apache configuration.

Check the include options using FP templates to narrow down the issue and If it works then there is no need to play with configuration.

FP means Forms Publisher

Do a View source on the output and post.

Is the HTML correct ? Do SSIs work in general when you preview

Includes do not work in core HTML. You have to have some kind of Server side technology (php, asp, aspx etc.). Saying that, your pages should be having extension php, asp, aspx etc., only then these include directives will work. HTML and XSLT dont understand #include because these are not server side technologies.
Either use server side technology or use javascript.

I remember that Teamsite 6.7.1 SP1 +Windows installation guide have section called Enabling Server-Side Include. I would recommend you to spend some time on reading the Teamsite(version you are using for project) install guide.
